Neal Hanks, President, Howard Hanna Beverly-Hanks Real Estate

Neal began his career with Howard Hanna Beverly-Hanks Real Estate in 1987 (then Beverly-Hanks & Associates) and has served in numerous roles within the firm. He was named president of Beverly-Hanks & Associates in 1999 and led the company to its present day success as the No. 1 real estate services company in Western North Carolina with 18 residential offices and more than 400 Realtors. 

Beverly-Hanks aligned with regional powerhouse Allen Tate Companies, a Howard Hanna Partner, in 2022. Neal currently serves as president of the Asheville Mountain Region of Howard Hanna Beverly-Hanks. The Hanna Family of Companies has been on the leading edge of the market providing comprehensive real estate, mortgage, title, and insurance services to help clients achieve their dream of homeownership since they were founded in 1957.

Neal has held numerous leadership roles within the industry, including serving as the President of the Asheville Board of Realtors. As a prominent leader within the Western North Carolina region, Neal currently serves as an executive committee member of Eblen Charities and as executive board member of Daniel Boone Council of Boy Scouts of America. In the past, he has served as campaign chair of United Way Asheville/Buncombe County, and board member of First Citizens Bank, A-B Tech Foundation, and Mission Health Foundation, among others.

Neal graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in real estate brokerage and finance. He and his wife Amy and their four children reside in South Asheville. He is an avid outdoorsman and adventurer.
